f your baby drinks less than 32 fl oz (about 1 liter) of infant formula per day, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a vitamin D supplement providing 400 IU (10 µg) of vitamin D daily. If your baby drinks 32 fl oz (about 1 liter) or more of formula per day, an additional vitamin D supplement is generally not needed because infant formula is fortified with vitamin D.
Since the amount your baby drinks can vary, please follow your pediatrician’s advice regarding vitamin D supplementation. Do not give additional vitamin D beyond the recommended amount unless advised by your healthcare provider.
